Buyer choice
We review the dealer’s business before working together. Buyers can still request an independent inspection of a specific watch. Dealer review does not mean every watch in their inventory was inspected.
Inspection required before completion
We start with photos and details, but do not complete a private seller’s watch sale through Malichus before independent physical inspection in the watch’s city. If no suitable workshop is available, the sale path pauses.

The workshop receives the watch locally, documents condition and accessories, and reports within the agreed scope.
Decision
The buyer sees the outcome before delivery. Differences or cancellation follow the written transaction terms.
A buyer’s request does not automatically start an inspection. The buyer normally pays for an optional inspection unless the dealer offers to cover it. For a private seller, mandatory inspection costs are agreed with that seller before work begins. There is no universal price across cities or watches.
A defined scope, no vague promises
The inspector compares the watch with the listing and documents the reference, visible condition, components, and accessories within their capability. Movement tests, opening the case, and water resistance testing depend on the workshop, owner consent, and agreed scope. An inconclusive result is reported as such.
We do not publish workshop names or an inspected badge before actual vetting and inspection. This page describes the request process; it is not a blanket authenticity guarantee or payment holding service. Payment, shipping, insurance, and return terms are agreed per transaction.
