F1 watch history cannot be reduced to the brands on today's grid. This directory contains 35 watch brands or groups with documented relationships or relevant product-and-driver connections, plus ten separately labelled archival leads. Heuer and TAG Heuer count as one lineage. The categories deliberately distinguish sponsorship from licensing and personal ownership.
Williams F1 Team / Girard-Perregaux
Reviewed 29 October 2026. A historical announcement establishes a relationship at that time; it does not establish that a contract remains active today. Where an end date cannot be demonstrated, we describe the dated evidence rather than inventing a closed range. This is an evidence-led directory, not a guarantee that every agreement ever signed has survived in public archives.
Championship and team relationships

| Rolex | Championship partnership 2013–2024; separate driver and endurance-racing relationships. | Source |
| Jacques Lemans | F1 watch licence announced in 2006; do not equate licensing with technical timing. | Source |
| Hublot | F1 relationship from 2010; Ferrari agreement announced November 2011, with watches launched in 2012. | Source |
| Richard Mille | McLaren from 2016; Ferrari from 2021; additional historical teams and individual drivers. | Source |
| IWC Schaffhausen | Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS engineering partnership from 2013. | Source |
| H. Moser & Cie. | Alpine Motorsports global partnership from February 2024, including F1. | Source |

| Breitling | Official Watch Partner of Aston Martin and its F1 team, announced 5 February 2026. | Source |
| Girard-Perregaux | Historical Ferrari watches; Williams partnership formed January 2026, first watches September 2026. | Source |
| Casio / EDIFICE | Toro Rosso / AlphaTauri partnership from 2016, documented by Casio; an archived page is not proof of a 2026 contract. | Source |
| Certina | Sauber sponsorship, recorded as a 2005 milestone in the brand's history. | Source |
| Edox | Sauber premium partnership recorded in its official catalogue's 2016 history. | Source |
| Armin Strom | Virgin / Marussia. The team's 2013 renewal says the relationship began in 2010. | Source |
| Cyrus Genève | Haas official timekeeper and watch partner, starting at Monaco in May 2021. | Source |
| Rebellion Timepieces | Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN partnership announced February 2022; 2023 collection also documented. | Source |

| Bremont | Williams Official Timing Partner; the team documents the WR-22 collaboration in 2022. | Source |
| Bell & Ross | Renault / Alpine; the brand explicitly identifies its Alpine watchmaker role in 2023. | Source |
| Tissot | Historical Lotus F1 collection, documented by the Museum of Arts and Crafts, Zagreb. | Source |
| Seiko | B·A·R Honda worldwide team agreement in January 2005, preserved in a contemporary brand release. | Source |
| Rotary | BRM P207 sponsorship in 1977, recalled in the brand's Chronograph 1977 collection. | Source |
| Graham | Historical Mercedes GP partnership documented by the sports-marketing agency involved. | Source |
| TW Steel | Historical Lotus F1 activity; the brand also documents its Mansell and Damon Hill ambassadors. | Source |
| B.R.M Chronographes | Caterham F1 in 2012, documented in the specialist archive; narrower source coverage than the official releases above. | Source |
The B.R.M entry rests on a specialist secondary archive; most other rows link to an announcement, an institutional record or a document issued by a participant. The Seiko release is a contemporary corporate document preserved by an independent archivist.
Ferrari and Williams: product rights require their own category
| Brand | Relationship and limits | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Panerai | Ferrari licence announced March 2005; first collection planned for spring 2006. Richemont also specified an Official Timekeeper to Ferrari designation. | Source |
| Movado Group | Scuderia Ferrari product licence dated March 2012, amended in 2017. This is a licensing record, not proof of team sponsorship. | Source |
| UNDONE | Williams collaboration launched in 2025; the team confirms continuing licensed products in March 2026. | Source |
| Cartier | Historical Ferrari Formula watches and accessories; product collaboration, not automatically an F1 team sponsor. | Source |
| Cabestan | Scuderia Ferrari One product project; limited collaboration, not evidence of championship-wide timing. | Source |
A partnership can contain both licensing and sponsorship rights. The distinction is not that one is less authentic: it is that the agreement must be described as documented. Williams' current Girard-Perregaux watches can coexist in its broader commercial history with UNDONE's licensed fan products. Neither should be silently substituted for the other.
Driver relationships and documented ownership
| Brand | Relationship and limits | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Audemars Piguet | Michael Schumacher partnership from 2010; Laptimer project. Driver relationship, not a team contract. | Source |
| Omega | Michael Schumacher became an ambassador in 1996, tied to Speedmaster Racing. | Source |
| YEMA | Mario Andretti's personally purchased Rallye at Indianapolis in 1969. Documented wear, not proof of F1 sponsorship. | Source |
| Enicar | Jim Clark: Sherpa Graph wear and period advertising, preserved in a specialist archive. Driver connection; no inferred Lotus team contract. | Source |
This section belongs in the wider story of watches and F1 personalities, but it must not inflate a list of team sponsors. Andretti's 1969 Indianapolis watch, for example, connects a future F1 world champion to watchmaking through a different racing discipline and a personal purchase.
Ten historical leads still requiring stronger confirmation
The following pairings appear in a specialist historical index. They are research leads, not verified contracts in this edition. Exact dates, rights and contract scope remain unconfirmed here: Braun–Tyrrell; Buler–ATS; Bulova–Benetton; Catamaran–Pacific; Chronotech–Renault; Citizen–Maki; Ebel–McLaren; Felio Siby–Force India; Franck Muller–Pacific; Martin Braun–Jordan. Archive.
We do not promote a logo in an old photograph to a championship contract. A brand can also appear through a single driver's agreement, a small run of gifts or merchandising. Additional original announcements, period advertisements or team records are needed to settle these cases.
What changed in 2026?
Aston Martin's official announcement of 5 February identifies Breitling as its watch partner. Williams states that its Girard-Perregaux partnership formed in January and introduced its first two watches in September. Lists that automatically carry Girard-Perregaux forward at Aston Martin, or Bremont at Williams, therefore need a dated correction.
Two historical corrections matter too: Haas's own announcement dates Cyrus to May 2021, while Marussia's 2013 statement says Armin Strom had been with the team since 2010. A secondary list's narrower first year should not overrule a contemporaneous team statement without explanation.
How to use the directory
Read the brand, the counterparty and the date together. Then ask what the product actually represents. An anniversary edition may celebrate a past relationship; a driver model may come from a personal contract; an authorised team watch may be a licensed fan product. These distinctions make a collection's story more precise and prevent a sales description from becoming an invented sponsorship history.
