News and analysis: the Malichus team

MeisterSinger has added a light blue hand-guilloché dial to its Panthero Jumping Hour, in a limited edition of 25 pieces priced at EUR 7,990 including VAT (reference ED-PTJH914). The model belongs to the brand's 25th-anniversary year, and the new colour joins an existing hand-guilloché edition. This article sets out what was announced, how the watch tells the time, and where it sits within the Panthero range.

The announcement at a glance

  • A new light blue hand-guilloché dial for the Panthero Jumping Hour.
  • Limited to 25 pieces, reference ED-PTJH914.
  • Price: EUR 7,990 including VAT.
  • Case: stainless steel, 40.5 mm, water resistant to 50 m.
  • Movement: automatic MS-JH-01, built on the Sellita SW300 with a Dubois-Dépraz jumping-hour module.

How the watch tells the time

MeisterSinger is known for single-hand watches, where one central hand circles the dial once every 12 hours and gives an approximate reading. The Panthero Jumping Hour departs from that formula. The hour appears in a window at 12 o'clock and jumps forward at the start of each new hour, and a single needle-shaped hand shows the minutes on an off-centre ring.

Reading Where it is shown
Hour Window at 12 o'clock; jumps at the start of each hour
Minutes Needle-shaped hand on an off-centre dark-grey ring, with white double-digit markings every 5 minutes
Brand mark The MeisterSinger sun wheel in dark grey, overlapping the lower part of the minutes ring

In practice, the hour is read from the window and the minutes from where the hand points on the ring. Because the hour changes in a single jump, the window shows only the current hour at any moment, and the hand carries the rest of the information.

The dial

The dial is a hand-guilloché light blue, with the pattern cut into the surface on traditional manually operated guilloché machinery. The dark-grey ring, hand and sun wheel are set against the light blue surface. The layout is the same as the other Panthero Jumping Hour versions; the colour and the finish are what change.

Case and movement

The case is 40.5 mm in stainless steel with a mix of brushed and polished surfaces, a domed sapphire crystal, a four-screw sapphire exhibition caseback and 50 m of water resistance. The case is 11.25 mm thick. The strap is cognac-coloured calf leather with crocodile embossing and a double-folding clasp.

The MS-JH-01 is an automatic movement running at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) with a power reserve of around 47 hours. It has 29 jewels. Its base is the Sellita SW300, with the jumping-hour module from Dubois-Dépraz. MeisterSinger's jumping-hour mechanism had previously been used in its Salthora family.

Where it sits in the Panthero range

The Panthero Jumping Hour was launched on 24 February 2026, as part of MeisterSinger's 25th-anniversary year. The earlier versions are: lacquered black and white dials in regular production, a limited hand-guilloché silver dial, a Souscription version with a grey dial and blue accents, and Blue and Golden Yellow Sunburst editions.

The standard models are priced at EUR 6,990 and the guilloché edition at EUR 7,990. The new light blue watch is priced at the guilloché level, EUR 1,000 above the standard price, a difference of about 14%. The edition size of 25 pieces matches the 25 pieces of the earlier guilloché model, and also matches the anniversary number.

The limits of this reading

This reading relies on the specifications published at launch. Some details, such as thickness and jewel count, belong to the Panthero Jumping Hour in general rather than to this colourway specifically. The Malichus team has not examined the watch in person.

Analytical summary

The light blue edition keeps the Panthero Jumping Hour's mechanics and layout and changes the dial colour. It follows the earlier hand-guilloché version in price level and in edition size, and its 25 pieces fall in the brand's 25th-anniversary year. The jumping-hour display, which replaces the classic single hand with an hour window and a minutes ring, is what separates the model from the rest of the MeisterSinger range.
