Sicura Hexa 400 Sea Green: Two Bezels, Two Different Jobs

The external 60-minute bezel is the familiar elapsed-time instrument. The internal 12-hour ring can instead be aligned with the main hour hand to provide a second-time reading. It achieves that without an additional GMT hand or a second hour train. The limitation follows from the simplicity: a 12-hour scale does not independently distinguish day from night. It is an economical indication rather than a full traveller GMT mechanism, and should be described on those terms.

An elapsed-time bezel and a second-time scale

A compact width does not mean a thin diver

The technical specification gives a 40 mm diameter and 14 mm thickness in a hexagonal steel case. The twin crowns add another dimension to the footprint. The official site also contains a generic 41 mm merchandising label, so the technical table is the more appropriate source for the quoted dimension. The 400-metre rating and ceramic bezel are concrete specifications; neither establishes how comfortably the watch will sit on a particular wrist. Bracelet articulation and clasp adjustment remain central to the daily experience.

Evaluate the current object first

The Sicura name invites historical discussion, but the modern watch should first stand on its own execution. At the official EUR 1,450 listing, its case geometry and two-scale arrangement provide a specific proposition in a crowded category. The familiar Sellita architecture makes the mechanism understandable; it does not certify future servicing prices or quality without inspection. The relevant question is whether the combination of reading functions, proportions and finishing is convincing for the buyer, not whether an old name alone can supply value.
