Nodus Men Wear Pink: The Stone That Refuses to Repeat Itself

Nodus and StrapHabit put natural rhodochrosite into a 100-piece Sector II Sport. The story connects stone variation, manufacturing difficulty and a stated charitable purpose.

A pink watch can begin as a colour choice. Here the more compelling story is the stone’s resistance to becoming a perfectly repeatable product.

A watch photograph usually makes a promise: this is what the buyer can expect to receive. A natural-stone dial complicates that promise. The bands crossing the Nodus Sector II Sport Men Wear Pink can shift from pale pink to deeper magenta, changing their position and intensity from one slice to another. The campaign image presents one expression of the material, rather than a pattern that every watch can reproduce.

Created with Nick Lehner of StrapHabit and presented by the collaborator on 30 October 2026, the edition is priced at USD 600. Nodus schedules ordering for 6 November at 9 a.m. Pacific Time. StrapHabit says production is limited to 100 watches. The case for this release rests on a specific material and a specific partnership, rather than an entirely new mechanical platform.

Variation is part of what the buyer chooses

Nodus identifies the dial as natural rhodochrosite. Its striations and tonal shifts provide the visual distinction, while the applied numerals and hands remain legible elements over that irregular surface. Choosing this watch therefore means choosing a range of possible appearances, rather than one exact arrangement of lines.

For collectors attracted to stone dials, that variability can give a relatively accessible watch a particular identity. It also changes the purchase conversation. A strong preference for one photographed pattern is a reason to ask what can actually be selected before ordering. Natural variation does not automatically make each finished watch a separately documented unique edition.

The difficult part happens before assembly

Lehner’s project account explains that cutting the stone to expose its banding also brought the thin slices close to natural cleavage planes. He reports that more than half of the slices failed during the process. This is the collaborator’s account of production, rather than a yield audited by Malichus, but it explains why a seemingly simple coloured face can involve demanding material work.

The mechanical specification is comparatively familiar: a no-date TMI NH38 automatic in a 38 mm steel case, with a stated 41-hour reserve. That restraint keeps a calendar aperture from interrupting the stone. In our reading, the interest lies in letting the material carry the visual story while a conventional mechanism performs the underlying job.

A charitable purpose with a defined limit

Nodus says a portion of the proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society. The product page does not specify a percentage or a donation amount per watch. It would therefore be inaccurate to call the entire selling price a donation, or to borrow the separate donation terms for StrapHabit’s charity straps and apply them to this watch.

The package includes a steel bracelet and a pink StrapHabit sailcloth strap. These two options let an owner either contain the colour at the dial or carry it around the wrist. The result gives the partnership a practical role beyond a name attached to the launch.

The date to follow is the order opening

The published opening converts to 8 p.m. in Riyadh and Amman on 6 November 2026. StrapHabit expects deliveries later in November. A pre-opening “Sold Out” label on a product page should not be read as proof that the announced allocation has already sold through.

The useful question for a regional collector is whether the stone’s visual variation appeals strongly enough to justify the purchase after destination costs and shipping conditions are understood. The charitable purpose adds context; the watch still needs to work as an object its owner wants to wear. Neither the small run nor the stone guarantees future resale demand.
